Summer is upon us. That means bulbs blooming, the return of migrating birds and lots of dogs needing rescue. New Beginnings Pet Rescue is FULL and in great need for people that would be willing to volunteer as a foster home. Year round as these hard economic times continue, more pets are finding themselves in shelters/rescues across the state of NJ. There is a desperate need to find people that are willing to foster these dogs in their homes as they are brought from the shelter into rescue. What is needed is the ability and willingness to provide a safe, loving and structured home where these dogs can rehab, retrain and sometimes learn to trust again. Being a foster home is the MOST important aspect of rescue. Without our foster homes we have nowhere for the dogs we help to go before finding their forever homes.
Is Fostering For Me?
Fostering is often a hard job, but if you ask any one of our foster homes they will say it is also one of the most rewarding jobs of rescue. Why? Because you get to bring in a dog that is broken, be it mentally or physically and bring back them back to health and put the zest for living back in their lives. Knowing you have given of yourself so that the forever home can have an amazing dog is the biggest reward for a foster. New Beginnings Pet Rescue supplies their foster homes with all the support possible. You will be provided with training tips and advice, medical care for the foster dog is paid by NBPRand when we receive food donations it is passed out to the foster homes. New Beginnings Pet Rescue does their best to find the best fit with the foster home, just as we do with our adopting homes.

Won’t you consider becoming a foster home so that we can continue our work saving the dogs that put smiles on adopters faces? The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we are able to save from a likely death sentence in the shelter. There is no feeling like knowing you have helped save a life of a dog. Every dog that will come to your home will teach you something and you will have the opportunity to teach them as well. It brings joy to your heart when the right family comes along to meet your foster after all of your hard work teaching this dog to be social, to have manners and learn that he/she doesn’t have to be frightened.”
